Los Angeles based artist Alexandra Bellissimo creates these stunning collages that beautifully simulate the human body merging with the natural world in a unison of man and earth.

Using photographs as her starting point, Alexandra digitally alters portions of the photograph, while the other elements are done through traditional, meticulous cutting and pasting to maintain a feeling of physical transformation of the subjects.

This striking and beautiful series was shot by Polish photographer Madame Peripetie. Dream Sequence explores the beauty of unconventional fashion photography as well as takes a dive into the strange realm of surrealism.

The series consist of 69 images, all of which were composed and refined in-camera; prosthetics, body painting, wigs, flowers, and 3D make-up techniques were all used in order to enhance and distort the bodies of the models.

You can see more images from Dream Sequence on Madame Peripetie’s website, as well as more information about the book and where to purchase it, here. (Via Beautiful/Decay)

Adding a bit of watercolor to her images within photoshop, artist Aliza Razell has created these amazing surreal self portraits. Her first series, Anesidora, is based on the story of Pandora’s Jar (Aliza states Pandora’s Box was actually a jar, and was  misinterpreted in the 1400s,) while her second series is inspired by the Finnish word ikävä, meaning the feeling of missing someone or something

These amazingly realistic and surreal prosthetics come from The Alernative Limb Project which aims to produce unique prosthetics for each wearer, from realistic arms, to stereo legs. Each is custom fitted to perfection, and the wearer is along for the whole design process, making sure its exactly how they imagined it. (Via Beautiful / Decay)
