These amazing ‘GIF-iti’ creations were made by fine artist and designer INSA. These murals are painted and photographed in sequential order to create up to 8 individual frames that are then animated into a motion graphic. This process can take several days as the artist must repaint and compose every frame precisely.
INSA was even invited to travel to Kubuneh Village in Gambia, where he painted these animation murals on several of the structures within the village as part of the Wide Open Walls project. You can find more images and gifs of INSA’s work on his Tumblr. (Via Colossal)
