Typography, paper, and highly detailed hand-made craft objects is what she does. Yulia Brodskaya is a Russian born fine artist, perhaps you’ve seen her work?
These colorful handcrafted works of art are the creations of Monica Rodriguez. Monica is a professional artist, illustrator, jewelry designer, art teacher and art portfolio consultant.
“My work is all handmade, carefully handcrafted using colored paper, glue and varnish, all recycled, re-purposed materials. I would describe it as paper manipulation on found object or canvas. Mostly depicting animals but primarily color on canvas. My work is spiritual and I work intuitively choosing all my colors and steps based on feelings while meditating and focusing on nature. My primary focus is to make people stop and enjoy color, life, culture and fall in love with art without a need for content or any personal agenda.” We are totally feeling the vibes of Monica’s upbeat sculptures!
Monica can be found in her Brooklyn studio and teaching art at local events in New York. Visit her site here to see more work.
Papercraft artist Jeff Nishinaka was asked to create two posters for Kleenex’ upcoming campaign “Let Your Soft Side Out“, and Jeff delivered. Installations were placed within movie theaters where movie goers could grab a tissue, which is fed through holes in the eyes to serve as tears and metaphorically “letting your soft side out”.
Most astounding, is Jeff’s ability to create such perfect 3D perspectives and details within his paper craft and typography. But Jeff can’t take all the recognition, creatives at JWT were a large driving force behind this campaign and did a magnificent job. (via Bernstein & Andruilli)
These elegant handmade paper crafts are the work of Wirin Chaowana. As her art thesis, Chaowana drew her inspiration from Thai cultural flower arrangement, geometric forms and paper folding. Vist her Behance page to see more work.
