This interesting sculpture is by artist Evan Holm. You would think submerging a record player on water would destroy the record, but Evan has figured out a way to allow the record player to still play beautiful music while submerged, which causes the record player to create a  hypnotizing whirlpool. To see more about how the sculpture works, you can check out this short documentary showing how he brought submerged turntables to SFMOMA.
