These cute and innovative designs are the end result of a collaboration between 12 architects enlisted by Kenya Hara, the design director of Muji, who asked these architects to design architectural environments that would ”change the way humans interact with their dogs.” Each designer was given a specific dog breed to design for, and the rest was up to them. Each uniquely different, from the Paramount, which features a large mirror and red carpet walkway for the fashionista poodle, to the Wanmokku which features a hammock created from pet owners T-shirts.

Architecture for Dogs wanted to expand beyond their central 13 designs and held an online contest asking designers to take from their original designs and create their own Architecture for Dogs. The winners, Haley Pearson & Channing Shattuck took from Tarofu and created their own design titled The WanRock, a rocking chair styled bed for small dogs. This bed will make any dog smile with its winning design!
