Pastilla recently traveled north for the 2013 Launch Festival held at the San Francisco Design Center, March 4th. We were thrilled to create the opening animation and to be invited by our friend Jose Callaber of The Skool and couldn’t wait to see how the festival would unfold being it our first time attending. The three day festival kicked off with a bang, with lots of startups pitching to panels of judges, great discussions from Jason Calacanis and various inspiring people including Chamath Palihapitiya. Aside from pitches and discussions, the festival had a great passionate community spirit about it. One place for media members, entrepreneurs, developers, and investors alike. Another awesome part about the festival was hanging out in the demo pit where we got to learn about tons of new companies that had already launched.

Here are some of the start ups that stood out to us:

Jawfish Games

Live Trekker

We’re sure to be returning in 2014 to immerse ourselves in all of the tech-entrepreneurially coolness!
